Sends SMS text messages from a Macintosh to GSM cellular phones.
SMS 1.5.0 supports the following GSM networks:

Note, it is possible to send SMS messages to cellular phones using a not supported network, if the network has a roaming agreement with a supported network. Select a default network in the Preferences dialog.
Most dialogs has balloon help. Select "Show Balloons" from the "Help" menu and move the cursor to a dialog field to get help for the field.
Configuration
From version 1.5, it is possible to add support for more networks. Select "New Network…" in the "Preferences" submenu in the "Edit" menu. To add a new network, you need to know which protocol the network use (TAP or UCP), the SMS modem pool phone number and the text in the reply messages sent from the network.
It is also possible to select which network to call for different cellular phone numbers. Change the field "GSM Numbers" in the network preferences dialogs.
Shareware
You can use SMS for as long as you wish (i.e., there is no time limit on the trial period), but the letters A and E in sent messages will be replaced by a question mark until the program is registered.
How to register
Paying for SMS is simple. Open the Register program that accompanies SMS. Enter your name, phone number and email address. Save or Copy the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. The price for a single user licens is US $25.
If you are paying with credit card, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. The email address is sales@kagi.com and the fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either copy the data from Register and paste into an email message or you can Save the data to a file and attach that file to an email message. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.
